Many problem-solving strategies have evolved to help managers with their “customer relationship management” (CRM). Please briefly summarize the three problem-solving strategies: brainstorming, diagramming, and mind mapping. If you were a manager in the following challenging customer situation, use the brainstorming strategy to determine the most appropriate solution to this problem that works for both the customer and the company.
Assess why and how you would use the strategy and what results you would expect. Then perform the actual brainstorming for the given scenario and incorporate the brainstorming results (i.e., the list of ideas generated) as part of your essay. Don’t forget to include your solution to the problem!
Customer situation: The accounts receivable department of a “big box” store that you manage has been having problems with customers not paying their bills on time and either sending the wrong portion of their bill with their payment, or sending it but not filling it out correctly.
Does the billing statement need a new, more user-friendly look to better help customers be compliant? Is there another, better solution, or is there no solution other than charging the customers late fees for non-compliance? Write a multi-paragraph response.
