The paper should provide a history of United States military policy under President Bush Jr. and President Obama towards the Central Asian states (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan). The paper should include some primary sources such as actual memos from the US State or Defense departments.
It should also include military expenditures to and from those countries. It should include a section on how those policies affected and were affected by regional powers such as Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, and maybe India. An analysis of the information also needs to be included.
The analysis should use Securitization theory by Barry Buzan and the Tripartite Framework by Mohiaddin Mesbahi. A couple of articles about those theories will be provided. The paper also does not need any extra information, only information directly relevant to the topic.
