The late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries were marked by violence against Mexican-descent people. How did Mexican-descent communities in the US Southwest respond to or resist various forms of racialized violence? (Make multiple examples of resistance). Remember, resistance didn’t necessarily mean armed resistance (though it certainly could). Be sure to include concrete examples. These examples should include a date/dates, and a thorough identification of the event, person, place, organization, etc.
