Description
The essay will be 7-8 pages (typed and double-spaced in Times New Roman 12 point font) and 1750-2000 words in length (excluding title page, references, appendices, and bibliography). A title page, a bibliography and Chicago Manual of Style footnotes or endnotes are all required components of your paper.
Choose one of the following research questions, and, after doing academic research on it, write an argumentative essay that cites quality research and justifies its stance with evidence and well reasoned justification.
While you will be advancing an argument, the paper should not be written in the style of an on-line post or an editorial column that makes bold claims without properly supporting them with adequate references to appropriate academic materials.
Instead, using materials similar to the ones referenced in your textbook, consider the question you select with an open mind during the research stage, but be prepared to have an argumentative thesis statement in your introductory paragraph direct your essay.
Scholarly sources only and also.
