In a three to four page paper, choose two case excerpts from your text, or from cases posted to Blackboard, and discuss how the cases and their outcomes relate to any or all of these concepts of the nature of the legal system, particularly in a business context.

You do not have to agree with the quotation(s) you choose, nor support the outcome of any particular case, provided you explain your position.

Your paper should demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the cases, the rules of law involved, and the implications of the decisions of the courts. A good paper will explain the issues in the chosen cases, the law that applies, and the implications of the Court’s decision.

You should choose cases from more than one of the content areas we have covered (for example, do not select two contracts cases, or two torts cases).

You may choose to discuss any of the cases excerpted in your textbook, regardless of whether we discussed the cases in the course. Choosing at least one case not discussed in class is highly recommended.
