The instructions say 16-18 slides, however, do what you can with less slides. As long as the required info is there. It is too expensive for 16-18 slides.
You are the Director of the Physician Resident Program at the local teaching hospital; it is your responsibility to ensure that the new class of Resident Doctors are knowledgeable about the institution’s cultural competency program. Your task is to create a PowerPoint Presentation on Cultural Competency for use during the orientation for the incoming Residents. As with any professional writing, the majority of the writing should be your own words and ideas, reflecting what you have learned about the topic. Quotes and paraphrasing should be used sparingly.
Create a 16-18 slide show presentation that addresses the following:
(slide count does not include the Introduction & Reference slides)
Define Cultural Competent Medicine (CCM)
Explain the significance in the context of health disparities
Explain the goals of being a culturally competent health care organization
Present at least four methods of culturally competent interactions with patients
Explain how each method can improve the relationship between provider & patient and what impact that has on health outcomes.
Explain how CCM may be one solution to reducing health disparities
Your presentation must include the following components:
Be colorful
Have graphics
Be easy to read (i.e. not too much writing/information on a slide)
Include talking points in the notes section of each slide
You may include audio and video clips if you choose.

Compose your work in a .ppt or .pptx file type using a word processor (such as PowerPoint, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors. When you are ready to submit your work, click “Upload Submission.” Enter the submission title and then click on “Select a file to upload.” Browse your computer, and select your file. Click “Open” and verify the correct file name has appeared next to Submission File. Click on “Continue.” Confirm submission is correct and then click on “Accept Submission & Save.”
