Qualitative Research Case Study Correlation [due Mon]
Assignment Content
For this assignment, you will use the case study you selected from your Week 1 assignment.
Write a 525- to 700-word paper and select two variables from your scenario that you are interested in knowing more about. For example, gender and communication style, age and job satisfaction, or any two variables involved in your scenario.
From the variables you chose, what are their scales of measurement?
To determine the correlation between these two variables, what method would you use?
Do you think these two variables are correlated? What helped you draw this conclusion?
(Use information you can find via a reliable Internet source or University Library search to help you draw a conclusion) Other than correlation, what measure of central tendency (such as mean, the median, the mode) could you use to draw a conclusion about your data?
What type of visual representation would you use to show the correlation?
What are the advantages or limitations of using this visual representation?
Format your paper according to APA guidelines.
Submit your assignment.
Here is the first case study:
Case Study 1 (Industrial/Organizational Psychology): A few months ago, the upper management of a large corporation that employs 2,500 people decided to implement major changes in the method their company handles the development of projects.
This change was based on a well-known model used in the military that was familiar to the CEO. The reasoning for the change was not wellcommunicated to employees; it was simply mandated to be implemented without providing required, significant learning or training opportunities.
Many employees do not feel the fit of this model is beneficial for their particular type of programs. As a result, employee morale is low, and group dynamics and personal work performance are suffering because the work process as it relates to their job performance is not understood.
