Depending on the size and complexity of the change situation, the following are just some examples of what the analysis may include:
what drove the need for change and what the organisation was trying to achieve;
an assessment of the organisation’s readiness for change;
the type of change;
cultural implications;
leadership and communication;
how the organisation handled any resistance and how the changes were consolidated after implementation.
Depending on time scales (whether or not the change has been completed at the time of writing) evaluate the degree to which is considered that the change has been successful and, if appropriate, offer suggestions as to how a better outcome might have been achieved.
