Recognize an Ethical Issue
· What is the ethical issue(s)? (refer to the issues listed in ch 5,6 of your text)
Discrimination – Gender/Age discrimination as she was the only female employee in that department. She was being judged on the way she looked and not her work.
Harassment – She was hired wearing the same outfit and then fired for wearing the same outfit . She wasn’t given any warnings for the way she dressed to work.
Conflict of interest – possibility of hiring someone else, needed a reason to fire her.
Possibility of male colleagues in that department being threatened my her.
