Morgan Sindall Constructionhas recently been awarded a £65m project in Salford. The project is the construction the new SEE Building ay the University of Salford. The project is a four-storey, 15,500sq. mbuilding that will be occupied by the University’s departments of Robotics, Built Environment, Civil, Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Networking, Human and Natural Science and The Morson Maker Space.The buildingwill incorporate high sustainability credentials, a key element of the University’s pledge to reduce itsenvironmentalimpact.
It will be fully electric powered, supported by 154 roof mounted photovoltaic panels which will provide renewable energy.Also, it will feature a wind tunnel, previously located at Salford Innovation Research Centre (SIRC) and will also boast high-spec laser laboratories.
Tasks
You have been appointed as the Project Manager for the project and your CEO has asked for a strategic report that satisfies the following:
