The Project Management Institute (PMI) states that projects are successful if they are completed on time, within budget and according to the client’s specifications or requirements.
This is an overly simplified assessment as we consider the risks, use of organizational resources, and time required to assess organizational needs and identify and implement solutions.
Find a minimum of three research articles within the last 10 years that recommends a more thorough approach to project evaluation than the one from PMI. In a few short paragraphs describe the merits of this alternative evaluation method.
