Summative Assessment Brief
The scenario:
You are the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) at , or any
company of your choice, and have been asked to prepare a report for the Senior
Management Team (SMT) proposing the approach to Programme and Project Management
for the next five years.
Choose two approaches that spark an emotion (may be positive or
negative). In your report:
1) Compare, contrast and critique your chosen TWO approaches and present your
preference with justification.
2) Critically evaluate the link between Projects and Programmes and identify the
complexity of managing multiple projects.
3) Explore the strategic elements of the chosen Programme and Project Management
approaches in conjunction with the management of change and the potential impact
of applying these elements to TWO chosen UN Strategic Development Goals.
