a) Discuss three ways in which equal opportunities legislation impacts on the policies and procedures of an organisation (Employment Law AC 4.1)
b) Evaluate the significance of TWO of the following key policies and legislation relating to equality and diversity (Equality & Diversity AC 1.1):
• National Minimum Wage
• Gender Pay Gap Reporting
• Teaching of ‘British Values’ in all educational institutions
• Access to Work (for disabled workers)

Guidance Notes: In order to enable the meeting of the unit criteria students are required to write an essay using an academic style of organisation, language and tone.
You should:
• Present one piece of equal opportunities legislation, then explain how this legislation has changed the way companies operate or changed the rules of the companies. Comment on whether the legislation was successful(GUIDE = 200 words)
• Repeat this TWICE more, to cover three different situations in total (Guide = 2 x 200 = 400 words)
• Choose two polices from the list & explain them. Then analyse whether they have been successful, giving reasons. (Guide = 350 words)
• Make sure your essay has an effective introduction, conclusion (Guide = 25-50 words each) and reference list.
