Developing Contemporary Occupational Therapy Practice” Critically analyse an area of occupational therapy practice in relation to one specified Royal College of Occupational Therapy publication.

Identify an area of practice from your interests or experience to date to base your critical analysis (for example; your experiences of your Placement B setting)

Chose one of the following RCOT publications to underpin your work; this list may be updated with an additional RCOT relevant document as/when published

CHOSEN RCOT IS; Reducing Pressures on hospitals; Improving Lives, Saving Money (2016) Royal College of Occupational Therapy

You should draw on a range of sources including legislation and contemporary research to support and inform your assignment

A successful assignment will:

• Critically analyse an identified area of practice discussing the opportunities and challenges to effective practice linked to a RCOT publication (25%)

• Critically evaluate how the RCOT publication aims to emphasise and influence occupation-centred practice in the identified area of practice.

• Critically reflect on your developing theoretical knowledge and practice skills identifying how you can utilise professional body documents and publications to develop and enhance your own practice in a defined area

(30%)

• Your assignment will take the form of a report supported by a range of appropriate references (10%)
