Students are to compose a 3 page narrative analysis paper on one of the following passages in the Gospels.
The purpose of this assignment is to answer the question, what do the Gospel writers reveal about the identity and mission of Jesus?
Papers are to be written in Times New Roman 12 font, double spaced, with standard margins. Papers should use Chicago Manual of Style or Turabian.
Texts: (Choose only one of the following)
• Gospel of Matthew (selections)
• Gospel of John (selections)
• One specific text within these Gospels. E.g. The genealogy in Matthew, or Prologue in John, woman at the well, etc.
• A comparison of a specific text between synoptic Gospels
