Step one: consider the various issues we have explored this semester:
✦ Indigenous land theft ✦ Intersectionality ✦ Black feminism ✦ Globalization ✦ Gendered labor ✦ Borders and immigration ✦ voter suppression and political representation ✦ racism and sexism in healthcare ✦ environmental racism ✦ bodies, media, and advertising
Step two: choose an issue above that you are most passionate about or interested in learning more about. Or, choose another related issue
Step three: choose one of the following options to complete your final project
Option one: Research paper (3-4 pages double-spaced):
Using lecture materials, course readings, and outside (academic or activist) sources, present an analytical argument about a topic of your choice. Your paper should not only convey the who, what, when, and where of the case of your choosing, but also how it connects the course themes and theoretical frameworks. In short, this paper should use one case to inform your readers about how social inequalities such as those based on class, race, and sexuality shape the experiences of people in our society.
