Summary from book
In the Constitution, the framers made sure that Congress would have an enormous amount of power, but the framers also made sure that Congress, just like the president, would have to follow the Constitution. The three branches, Congress, the Executive branch, and the Supreme Court all have a checks and balances system.
Congress and the president are both elected by the people and are to make decisions that would benefit the people and our democracy. We discussed the inner workings of Congress and the president as well as the complex roles and functions of Congress. We also discussed the many hats the president wears and the responsibilities the president has as the ceremonial representative of our country.
