Instructions:
1) Choose an actual or potential health problem among school age children. The health care problem we are addressing is POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME in teenage children.
2) Utilize current literature (must be peer-reviewed and no older than 5 years) to design and discuss an individual health plan (IHP) for the child and/or family discussed in the case study.
3) Present a comprehensive discussion of the problem and individualized health care plan in class using PowerPoint, specifically addressing epidemiological aspects, symptoms, current treatment, evidence-based nursing interventions, culturally congruency, and related school health policy and/or state mandates.
