EULOGY:The Sisters Brothers.
A eulogy is a speech given at a funeral, usually by someone who knew the person well. The person giving the eulogy mentions funny,sad, or important moments in the deceased person’slife, or perhaps the impact he or she had on everyone. The goal is to remember the person fondly, even if he or she was not perfect.(None of us are!)
Your assignment is to write a eulogy for one of the characters in The Sisters Brothers.
You must pretend to be one of the other characters in the book who is speaking about this person. Write a eulogy that is in the “voice” of that character.
Mention what you lovedor liked about theperson, despite their shortcomings.
You should also write about what they struggled with and infer why they may have chosento live their lives the way that they did.
It’s always good to throw in a few quotes into yourspeech.
