Case Conceptualization
The best way to formulate/construct your paper is to use the directions as a template. For example, use sections I-V as headers (e.g. Background with Demographics, Theoretical Orientation, Treatment Planning, Assessment of Client, etc.). Under each header use subheadings (e.g. MSE, DDX, DSM-5
Diagnosis, Risk, etc.). Use APA heading and subheading format. The use of headings and subheadings give the reader a general idea of what to expect from the paper and leads the flow of discussion. These elements divide and define each section of the paper.
The paper should be a minimum of eight pages and a maximum of ten. This does not include your title page nor reference pages.
The paper is not a client MAP and should not use bullets.
Ray, 8-year-old African American who is diagnosed with intermittent explosive disorder. Ray was recently placed in foster care with his siblings. He has been admitted to a residential treatment facility twice but when he returns, his behavior is still extreme. He has daily unprovoked physically and verbally aggressive outbursts towards both children and the adults in the home. He also destroys property.
