Office Manager
#1: Daily Huddles
Part of the performance management system includes daily “huddles.” Every team meets together daily for 10 minutes to share updates/announcements, check in on performance, troubleshoot issues, give kudos, and drive toward continuous workflow improvements.
With multiple locations, you will not be able to attend every huddle. How will you ensure each of your offices has effective huddles? Provide a sample huddle agenda.
#2: Office Culture
Describe what a strong office culture looks like. How do you simultaneously create that culture in two offices? What challenges do you foresee?
#3: Priority Setting
You are implementing a change that will impact admin workflow in the hopes of preventing out of network bills for our patients. The standard work adds some additional tasks to the time of check-in for our admins and patients, but will eliminate some work in the long run. How do you identify milestones, track performance, and hold your team accountable to the results?
#4: Developing Talent or Coaching Performance
Part a)
One of your admins has applied for a leadership role several times and continues not to get the position. Their discouragement is now affecting their performance. Describe your approach to coaching and developing this team member.
Part b)
What if it’s a peer Office Manager in the same scenario?
