The topic statements
A clear topic sentence for each of your main points (include the entire sentence, not just a keyword). If you have 3 body paragraphs, for example, you should have a topic sentence for every one.
At least 3 different supporting examples/pieces of evidence you can use in each section of your essay. Show them under the topic sentences noted above so it’s obvious what examples go in which section of your argument.
Make it clear when an example or quote comes from a source.
Potential objections/counterpoints to your claims. How can you anticipate what a reader may disagree with and how will you respond?
The purpose of this outline is to show the argument you plan to write. While complete paragraphs are certainly not expected, your ideas should be evident enough that a reader can give you quality feedback.
