During the virtual field experience, students will view classrooms and/or listen to teachers as they discuss working with students with high-incidence disabilities, as well as families, teachers and other professionals providing instruction and services to students. Students will maintain an online journal of these activities which will allow them to discuss and reflect on the activities.

Each journal entry will begin with the name of the activity observed. You will then need to describe what you choose to view and what you learned from that experience making sure to make connections to material covered in class.

The focus of these entries should be partly on the observations (description) and partly on making connections to the material/content of the class. Also comment on how what you are seeing during your field experience will impact your own practice and interactions with special education teachers, other professionals, families, and students with disabilities. It is important that you tie in your experiences to what you are learning in class through the readings and modules, so provide connections in your entries.
