Description
Assignment:
This week we took a look at plot. We have looked at the break down of plots, including the conflict and denouement. Examples of plot were given so that we could see how plot is applied in many genres.
This week we are going to try writing a plot choosing one of the following:
1) Draw a plot outline and present it to the class labeled and with images to show you have brainstormed a plot from start to finish. Have fun with it.
2) Free write your way through a plot. Don’t worry about where you will go next, but let the story develop as you write it. What would happen next logically? What are you seeing unfold in your head?
Pick One of the above. Then do the following:
Write a story, a poem or a dialogue from start to finish with a well-developed plot, or if you pick number 1, draw the plot out from start to finish with a labeled, clearly laid out plot. Do not write an essay. The writing should be at least two paragraphs or a page of developed plot graphing.
1) Brainstorm the two choices above and pick an option.
2) Write a piece based on your plot work.
3) Present your work to the class in a VT. If you did the plot outline, video yourself explaining the drawing and the plot sequence you brainstormed. If you did a free writing, read your work to the class in a video.
