Summary Sections:

Paper 1
Reflection Sections:
Reflections are the more important and interesting to read parts of your paper. This is why the word count is higher at least 500-700 words.
Things to discuss in your Reflection: 1. Were there ideas presented in the article that you agree/disagree with? What are they?
Why do you disagree/agree? Do you think that the opposite argument is invalid or does that side also have valid points that you just don’t agree with? What parts of the opposite argument do you not agree with? Why? Is there some kind of middle ground that can be reached?
2. Tell me what new things you learned while reading the article. How did this new information alter your previously held views? Did you already know some things in the article? What did you already know?
Did the article provide any further information about those things that you already knew about?
How does this newly learned information influence you views of society as a whole? Is this a positive or a negative influence? Why do you think it’s positive/negative?
3. How did the information you read about relate to your own personal experience in the world? Did anything in the article spark some kind of unanswered question for you?
If so, what was it? Why would you like to know this answer?
Google your question. What did Google say? Have other people looked into answering this question before?
Were they successful? Do you have sources for those answers? Can you relate it back to the article now?
• The reflection section is not a review a reaction or a reiteration of the summary.
If you choose to have an Introduction and Conclusion section for your paper:
• Do not make it lengthy, a sentence or two, tops.
APA Style formatting
• In-text citations as well as the references page need to be formatted correctly to receive all possible points.
• There are countless resources available online through a simple Google search.
•Use paragraphs in the body of your paper and include section headers, a cover page, and a separate reference page at the end.
