Substance abuse
Each unit of this course will develop a substance abuse assessment, intervention, treatment plan, and relapse prevention plan for a fictional (media) character of your choosing.
In week one, students will identify the media character of their choice, use 2-3 substance abuse assessment instruments and provide a 2-3 page substance abuse assessment, including discussions of the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of substance abuse etiology and presentation, as well as DSM-V diagnosis, for their fictional client.
