In your initial post, explain in your own words the issue of schools’ rights to censor their student newspapers.
Answer the following questions using the case of Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier:
What importance do the justices place on the fact that the newspaper was run by students?
Evaluate how this constitutional issue affects your and/or your family’s daily life.
Provide an example(s) from your own experience or from those who are your lives.

Do students truly have the right to write as they wish and publish those writings in a school’s newspaper?
How are they protected and how far can such writings be edited by schools’ administrators in defiance of the students’ wishes?
What is relevant is that the Constitution protects free speech, but there are limits to those protections.
