Gender and Culture Paper: This assignment asks you to examine your own cultural identity – to describe how you define yourself as a cultural being – and to show how that affects your communication style.
The following questions are to help you construct that definition:
What are your racial, ethnic, national origins?
How does your gender and class define me?
Are there particular myths, rituals, or stories you remember from childhood that have helped to define me?
How does your personal cultural profile affect your relationship to American culture?
How does your personal cultural profile affect how you communicate with friends and family, or in other experiences like an internship, the classroom, or a club?
Apply a minimum of three communication terms from our book to explain the context of your responses with application of how your communication behaviors are impacted regarding the questions above.

Affinity for or dislike of argumentation or conflict
