Many groups work to help dogs (or wild canids). Your task for this assignment is to do an online investigation into some of these groups and analyze their work and their representations of dogs/canids in relation to some of the key themes/aspects of the course, such as imagery, space, political economy.
What are these groups telling us about dogs/canids and animals generally?
What is their message about animals?
You have some choices in what you choose to investigate but you must provide a rationale for why you selected the particular organizations.
• What kind of group is it? (welfare, rights, rescue, conservative, etc.)
• What is their ethical outlook?
• Are they only focused on one species?
• Any evidence of their ideological position? (e.g. an organization that organizes a meat barbeque to raise funds to help dogs and cats raises some concerns
