Task 1:
Select the company;
Industry scope:
⦁ The product or service scope – this refers to product or service (i.e the business unit) the student will focus on. Each company has a multitude of business units and you cannot review them all so the student has to select one.
⦁ The geographic scope – this refers to whether you will look at the product or service as part of a global industry or within particular regions (Asia, Europe, and so on) or countries (India, China, UK etc…)
Task 2:
Write the Report – 1500 words
Structure (10%):
Diagnosis (20%)
Based on an analysis of business, organisational, and political issues, outline the main challenge facing your chosen organisation.
Strategic Analysis (40%)
Study Louis Vuitton for example, focus your analysis on one of their brands. Consider how being part of Louis Vuitton group is beneficial to the individual brand.
Industry analysis (covering industry structure and evolution):

Resource/Competence analysis:

Use results of above analysis to draw up a SWOT analysis

Based on the above analysis, make recommendations on how these should be dealt with.
You could use some of the following frameworks to help suggest a future strategy for the organisation:

⦁ The Strategy Clock
You should make recommendations on how a particular strategy could be achieved. You do not need to go into detail here.
Evaluation
You should also consider how realistic your recommendations are these can be evaluated against the criteria of suitability/acceptability/feasibility. This evaluation should result in a single recommendation summarised into a strategy statement.
