Description
Write a meditation (critical reflection & analysis) on the film. Each meditation is due roughly a week after the film you want to write about is assigned.
EXPECTATIONS
1 – Connect the films to the course’s theoretical models, ideas, and methodologies.
2 – Connections between films and course readings should demonstrate a critical engagement with both the film and the course material. Support your points with evidence!
3 – Write clearly and coherently. Organization matters.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Critical analysis is about making connections between our films and the course content.
Critical reflections are a forum to consider alternative viewpoints, engage in reflective skepticism, gain self-knowledge, and critically evaluate your biases and assumptions.
WHAT A SUCCESSFUL MEDITATION COVERS
This assignment is a combination of critical analysis and critical reflection. You should devote most of the space to critical analysis by making connections between the film and the course content.

• Does the film relate to your personal experiences in any way?
• Does the film affirm or challenge any preconceived notions you had before watching it? Why or why not?
