Create a case study about an imaginary person with schizophrenia.
Do not plagiarize any case studies previously written. Write at least six pages in your case study. The works cited page is not included in these six. Each of the sections should be approximately 2 pages long, and the final paper should be 7 pages long (including the reference page).
You must use the following sub-headings in your paper:
1. Background
2. Conceptualization
3. Theoretical treatment model.
You should use one of the following theoretical perspectives of psychology to interpret the behavior of and treat the imaginary person:
1. biological perspective,
2. psychodynamic perspective,
3. humanistic perspective,
4. sociocultural perspective.
Use at least three scientific/scholarly sources. Appropriate sources include textbooks and textbook chapters, treatment-oriented self-help books written by experts in the field, and articles from academic journals and the DSM. Inappropriate sources include novels, self-help books written by celebrities or other non-experts, and articles from magazines and newspapers.
Background
Under the background heading, provide an overview of how the abnormal behaviors first presented themselves (in his or her life) and developed over time, and how these behaviors impacted or were affected by major developmental milestones (e.g., marriage, employment, death of a family member).
Conceptualization:
This is the section where you will most explicitly apply the terms and concepts from one of the theoretical perspectives you use to interpret your individual’s behavior. Your Conceptualization section should integrate concepts from the theory with events from your individual’s life discussed in the background section.
Theoretical Treatment Model:
Outline how you would treat your individual in this section. The treatment should be consistent with the theoretical perspective that you discuss in your Conceptualization.
