Paper Abstract:
Examine suburb development in America during various eras throughout history. Compare common suburban developments via a set of criteria to determine if and how development has changed over time.
This criterion will include development form, zoning or land-use, housing typologies, proximity to needs, as well as a few select contemporary quantitative performance analytics. Historic timeframes are broken down into six distinct eras in order to establish base years for historic analysis.
Present the findings and how they relate to our current development trends as well as how they could influence future development strategies.
