Educational Leadership – Problem-solving conversations
Description
The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to examine and critique your interpersonal leadership style in the context of a conversation you find difficult. This assignment comprises of three parts.
Part A: Comparison of treatment of beliefs in Model I (CTL) and Model II (OTL) is based on the literature provided in the course.Discuss how beliefs are treated in the two models discussed (CTL/Model I and OTL/Model II).
Part B: Conversation analysis asks you to have a conversation and complete a detailed analysis of your behaviour and its underlying values in a real conversation. You have to organise and record a conversation, then transcribe the conversation and analyse your behaviour. Your analysis will examine whether the behaviours and values you demonstrated in the conversation are CTL (Model I) or OTL (Model II). Refer to the school background and concern document
Part C: Summary analysis is a summary of the detailed analysis you have done for Part B. Here you will look across your earlier analysis and note patterns of behaviours, whether you have disclosed and tested your key beliefs, and think about the outcomes of your conversation.
