Writing a Critique
Write a short critique about the discussion on the significance of the “Acculturation to the Global Consumer Culture”. Your critique must be based on the below article which can be found on our Moodle course:
Carpenter, J., Moore, M., Doherty, A.M., & Alexander, N. (2013) Acculturation to the global consumer culture: a generational cohort culture.
First Paragraph: The first paragraph may be the most difficult to write properly. In this paragraph, state the main explanation of the acculturation to the Global Consumer Culture. Provide a clear thesis statement focusing on only one point that you would like to base your critique on.
Second Paragraph: In a separate paragraph, provide a very brief summary of the article. REMEMBER THIS IS A CRITIQUE WRITING SO THE SUMMARY SHOULD ONLY BE 4-5 SENTENCES
Next paragraph(s) Decide what kind of critique you are going to develop. Rhetorical, Ideas, Reflection or Blended. After you choose the form of critique use the guiding questions to develop your writing. This should be the longest part of this writing. 8-10 sentences. Provide in-text citation as needed.
Final Paragraph summarize the main points that you developed in the critique and provide your final remarks.
