Essay Topic
How do people see you? Some people believe that everything about you sends a message to others. They believe that almost everything about you makes unspoken claims about who you are and what you value. With this in mind, I would like you to think about how your appearance, possessions, actions, and / or social media accounts influence how people perceive you. For this assignment, answer the following question: how do people perceive you?
In your essay, you must include at least four perceptions. Each body paragraph will discuss one perception, include two reasons why people perceive you in this manner, and whether or not the perception is true, false, or somewhere in between.
Purpose & Pattern of Development
Your purpose in this essay is to inform your audience about how people perceive you and whether the perceptions are true, false, or somewhere in between. This is a reflection essay that uses examples to support your points.

Paragraph 1 / Introduction:
Your introduction should be at least 4 sentences long.

Each body paragraph should contain one perception; however, your body paragraphs should include at least two points that support your topic sentence AND discuss the validity of each perception. The first reason should be stated in point A; the second in point B. You should discuss points A and B in detail in their corresponding letters, a and b. Then, in point C, you must discuss whether or not the perception is true or false and state why. “A” papers will follow the correct format shown below.
Topic Sentence for first supporting paragraph: First of all, people perceive me as being adventurous.

Concluding sentence / transition to next paragraph:Thus, the perception that I am adventurous is one that I am very proud of. OR Not only do people think I am adventurous, they also perceive me as being a loving person.
