Task: Write an introduction, a single paragraph, and conclusion that answers the question:
Discuss factors that lead to success at university.
You could consider factors such as belonging, identity, whakapapa, diversity, curriculum, engagement, ability, and beliefs.
You should reference at least three of the reading resources that have been used so far in the course.
Do not use any other resources – you will have this opportunity in the final submission.
Your essay should conform to academic conventions and use correctly formatted APA in-text citations.
At the end of your essay, you should include a reference list in APA format that contains the three resources used.
Essay Instructions
• Introduction: Write a full introduction using ‘the funnel technique’ that includes a thesis statement and roadmap for a complete essay. You will only write a paragraph for the first key idea listed in your roadmap.
• Paragraph: Write a full paragraph discussing the first idea mentioned in your thesis statement or roadmap. Do not write paragraphs for the other two or three key ideas in your thesis statement or roadmap. You may use these ideas in Essay Two.
• Conclusion: Write a full conclusion that reifies the argument made in the introduction, in the first body paragraph, and for the other two or three key ideas that are not presently submitted. You will be making some assumptions about what the other two or three paragraphs would argue.
The TRNS001 question for Essay One and Essay Two is the same. You may use the introduction, paragraph, and conclusion in Essay One as a plan and a draft for Essay Two.
