In “The Things They Carried,” the soldiers carry both tangible and intangible things. Discuss the ways in which burdens, physical and mental/emotional, impact the soldiers.

Essay Guidelines:
Must be formatted according to current MLA standards . Use Times New Roman 12 pt font.
Submit as a Word or PDF document only.
Must be a minimum of 3 pages in length excluding the Works Cited page. Must fill the page in order to be considered three pages.

Must contain two (2) direct quotes, summaries or paraphrases from the reading.

Quotations must be no longer than 2-3 lines.
Must properly cite the quotes within the text.
