Apply the Army’s SHARP program by defining Army sexual harassment and sexual assault policies, applying appropriate response techniques, and identifying prevention strategies in support of the SHARP Program to create a culture of Prevention in the Army. Scope

Educate and prepare Basic Leader Course (BLC) students to support the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention (SHARP) Program and to effectively eliminate incidents of sexual harassment and sexual assault from our Army.

This lesson supports the BLC TLO 400-BLC, Convey clear thoughts, tasks, and purpose to leadership and subordinates through multiple communication mediums.

Enabling Learning Objective

Action: Apply the Army’s Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program in your unit.

Condition: Given a classroom environment with facilitated discussion, student handouts, all applicable DoD and Army policies, and simulated real-life scenarios involving potential and actual sexual harassment and sexual assault situations.

Standard: Apply the Army’s SHARP program by defining Army sexual harassment and sexual assault policies, applying appropriate response techniques, and identifying prevention strategies in support of the SHARP Program to create a culture of Prevention in the Army.
