The US has one of the highest High School dropout rates in the western world with the most severe economic and social impact reserved for non-graduates. Current ESSA policies and States’ plans have failed some students who end up dropping out. Why have the current policies failed and what reforms/policies need to be developed and implemented to ensure that high school dropout rates are minimized?
