Stuart is 25 years old. Two years ago Stuart had a cycling accident and was in hospital for several months recovering from his injuries. He takes a mixture of pain relief medication such as co-codamol 30/500mg and ibuprofen 400mg. He also buys over the counter paracetamol. He finds it painful when he walks and no longer plays football.
He continues to socialise with his friends and likes to drink alcohol however he has had times when he cannot remember getting home. He has had two occasions when he has had unprotected sexual contact and he now feels a stinging sensation when he passes urine.
He visited the GP who diagnosed Stuart to have Chlamydia and has prescribed him Azithromyacin although Stuart doesn’t want to take it because he is concerned it will interact with his pain relief medication.
