Evaluate and describe how each article supports, adds to,weakens,or contradicts your opinion, based on information that you learned from the reading.

Your literature review will discuss between 16 and 20 secondary sources if you are not performing any primary research for your project OR 12-16 sources if your project IS using primary research.

All of these sources MUST come from credible sources. Sources may come in the form of comparative studies, historical or legal documents, scientific reports, etc. and you must contextualize their relevance to your project at large.

Your literature review should include the following elements:

1. In the beginning of the paper, identify the general issue or topic of your
paper and pose a research question which is designed to explore the complexities of the issue rather than pose a yes/no question.

[NOTE: This section is not properly part of the literature review, but will serve as a starting rough draft for the introduction of your paper.

2. Completed Source Work sheet to verify the source is both reliable and appropriate for the project and to keep all source info organized.

3. Anorganized presentation of the information

a. You will organize your sources by sub-topics and subsequently
discuss each of the sources within these subtopics as they both
relate to one another and to your broader research.

4. Summarize briefly, but accurately, what each of your articles argues
about the sub topic. Some sources may only be used in one subtopic,
while others may appear in many or all of them.
5. Evaluate and describe how each article supports, adds to,weakens,or
contradicts your opinion/argument, based on information that you learned from the reading.
