Asking HPI Questions
Description
Directions
Olivia is a 27-year-old primigravida who complains of nasal congestion.
Create a interview talking to your assigned patient or his caregiver to gather the history of present illness (HPI). Ask them five questions to get additional information needed to treat your patient. Include a rationale for why you want to know this information. Explain your rationale as though the patient asks why you asked them that question. For example, you might say, “Have you fallen? I am asking because a fall may indicate a recent stroke.”
Your references in 7th edition APA format.
