Individual Presentation (5 minutes)

You will investigate the Knowledge Management System in Amazon:

Produce a PowerPoint poster presentation depicting one area of the Knowledge Management Value Chain (KMVC) for Amazon. The areas are: Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Storage, Knowledge Dissemination, and Knowledge Application. You should consider the strengths and areas for improvement in the one area you are discussing;

Your PowerPoint should consist of one slide only showing your KMVC. This should be uploaded (in PDF format) to Turnitin.

This poster will be accompanied by a 5-minute live presentation, delivered via Microsoft Teams, during your lecture slot. Times will be allocated closer to the presentation day;

You should produce supplementary notes (approx. 500 words), including a reference list, to support your presentation. These should also be uploaded to Turnitin by 15:00 the day before your presentation.

Individual Report (3000 words Understanding and engaging in the customer experience)

Task: 1: Provide an organisational profile of Amazon. This should include the main activities, location(s), and staff profile (including demographics) of the organisation.

Task 2: Conduct a SWOT analysis of the Knowledge Management System specifically at Amazon, not the organisation as a whole.

Task 3: Critically evaluate the four areas of the KMVC and discuss the support systems (HR/IT, etc.) that interact with these. You should discuss relevant theory in this evaluation;

Task 4: Compile a conclusion to the report, outlining the main areas for development in the Knowledge Management System at Amazon, then provide recommendations based on this conclusion.
