Kick Mic is an AKG D112 (Cardioid) dynamic mic set at 20 cm from the kick’s front-head, pointing at the beater to record the kick’s punch.

Top Snare Mic is a Shure SM57 (Cardioid) dynamic mic set on top of the snare drum, pointing at the center, to record less ring.
Bottom Snare Mic is an Audix i5 (Cardioid) Dynamic set below the snare drum pointing at the center, to record less ring.

The Overhead Mics were setup as follows: (AB) with 2 AKG C414 (Multi-pattern) condenser mics, with a -12 dB reduction and an EQ’d flat curve. 2 AKG C451 (Cardioid) condenser spot mics for the crash cymbals, and 1 Behringer C2 (Cardioid) condenser mic for the hi hats.

The room mic used is the Fostex MC10 (Multi-pattern) condenser mic.
