Special Topics in Doctoral Criminal Justice Studies: Domestic Terrorism
This week’s assignment contains two principal objectives:
1) to familiarize yourselves with historical and contemporary issues relative to domestic terrorism in the United States; and
2) provide key concepts that you will need to understand both for your comprehensive examination and DRP. Accordingly, you will be undertaking searches of Cal U’s academic journal data bases and West Law for the following:
A peer reviewed journal article discussing the motivations of those involved in domestic terrorism (can be older);
A peer reviewed journal article discussing the motivations of those involved in domestic terrorism (within the last 24 months);
A law review article (within the last 12 months) that discusses contemporary legal issues surrounding domestic terrorism
Any peer-reviewed article that discusses so-called “left-wing” terrorism; and
Any peer reviewed article that discusses so-called “right-wing” domestic terrorism, and in particular, the recruitment of current or former members of the military and police.
