After watching “Mondestrunken” from Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg write a reflection about the following statement:
“The music produced under those hothouse conditions has been heard by few and has had next to no social impact. It is the last hurrah of a historical bloc that lost its hegemonic grip on culture at the turn of the century.”

Compare it with this statement from Arnold Schoenberg:
