our group task is to produce a Research Poster that is based upon an academic article that has been allocated to your group. This assignment requires you to work as a group to translate key information from the academic article into a research poster. As part of this task, your group must:
•Divide the task into roles for each group member (e.g. this can be by section of poster or by communication element – writer, visualisation of content, structure/formatting, editor)
•Develop the Research PosterThe assessment should be submitted in a single PDF document by 5pm Friday 11th September of Week 7 in the “Assessment” section on LearnJCU. As a group, you will be graded on the research poster itself.In the research poster, the key components of the research need to be clearly articulated and should include an introduction, methods, results and discussion section (IMRD). This information is to be presented with language appropriate for the topic and is to be visually engaging in a way that supports the scientific content.
•Introduction/Background: major concepts, rationale for study, aims & hypothesis•Method: Each section (Participants, Materials, Procedure)
•Results: statistics (i.e. descriptive + inferential) statistics correctly reported, figures/graphs (if appropriate)
•Discussion: links to introduction, summarises key findings, limitations, implications & future directions.
•References
•Overall visually engaging (i.e. supports, not detracts from scientific content)
•Follows APA formatting conventions
