Assessment : Essay Length: 2000 words Weighting: 40% The purpose of this essay is to assess your ability to apply the theory provided in Themes 1, 2 and 3, to clinical practices pertaining to wound infection.
Construct an essay in which you:
• examine factors (e.g. physical and psychosocial) which increase the vulnerability of clients to impaired wound healing and infection
• analyse the extent to which these vulnerabilities have been countered with new evidence pertaining to wound infection, biofiim development and aseptic technique
• discuss the ways in which this new knowledge has been integrated into policies, procedures, and guidelines, which direct clinical practices pertaining to prevention and control of wound infections.
