*Field Placement Agency: A.C.E. Community Support Services LLC – ACE delivers optimal therapeutic services to our consumers on the basis of mental and behavioral health counseling, in efforts of reunifying Families, providing support for the challenges of our youth and adults, acquiring community achievement, social skills, involvement; and changing lives for the better.
*Intern Role: As a supervised trainee, I lead weekly skills training sessions that teach children, teenagers, adults, and their families how to cope and self-soothe when they are dealing with anger management, anxiety, or depression. These sessions supplement the counseling services provided by the client’s designated therapist and incorporate strategies that support the client’s stated goals and objectives. I also input and maintain current client information as well as document summaries of skills sessions.
